"When I first went to drop-in, it was because it was the only place I felt safe. With time, it became the place I volunteer at."

Alex first came to Project 10 as a participant and later received their first binder through our Gender Gear program. Since then, they’ve become a volunteer, board member, and active part of our QTBIPOC arts mentorship program, Our Bodies Our Stories.

"I was not expecting to build connections or anything, I just wanted a space where I could be me. Instead, I found myself having P10 more as a home."

Lizzie first came to P10 after her aunt found our resources. From campfires and nail painting at summer camp to receiving medical referrals through our network, Lizzie found friendship, affirmation, and access to care.

"I’m so glad my aunt found P10 for me at a time when I was socially excluded and scared of the world. They made a major difference in my life."

"I’m still in the process of figuring out how to fit myself into the binary system — by destabilizing it with my existence."

Blob first heard about Project 10 from a teacher. They found the community they had been searching for: supportive peers, volunteers, and services like the Listening Line.

"Two heads are better than one — talking it out on the line allows me to be less in my head about the problem and more focused on finding solutions."

Blob has since led workshops at P10 and continues to grow with us. Their hope for the future: “that P10 continues to educate non-allies to be respectful toward members of the LGBTQ community.”

Robin came to P10 at 17 seeking medical support for gender dysphoria, later receiving a binder through Gender Gear. They describe P10 as a place of unconditional acceptance where they learned to embrace a genderqueer identity.

Tealey discovered P10 through her daughter, Becky, who found friends, confidence, and a sense of family here. Watching her daughter thrive inspired Tealey’s own journey of acceptance as a parent.
