Project 10 offers a wide range of services for gender-diverse and transgender youth between the ages of 14–25 aimed at providing tangible support with social, legal or medical transition. Our trans-specific services include access to: free gender affirming gear like binders, gaffs, trans tape, etc.; a Commissioner of Oaths for legal gender marker and name changes; subsidies for hair removal and diagnostic therapy; and referrals to other resources depending on individual need. The fundamental values driving our approach are rooted in confidentiality, empowerment, harm reduction and individual agency.
All of Project 10’s trans-specific services are free, confidential, and available at the request of the youth. If you are in need of a trans-specific service but are unsure which one is right for you or need more information, please contact trans@p10.qc.ca and we’ll work together to tailor a solution to you.
Gender-affirming gear includes articles of clothing or prosthetics used to adjust how you look in order to match your gender expression. Our gender gear products include various compression garments and prosthetics. These items include, but are not limited to, binders, gaffs, trans tape, breast forms, and packers. Using gender gear can have a positive impact on your mental health, making you feel more comfortable in your self-expression, or helping signal to others how to read your gender appropriately. If there is anything you’d like that we don’t have in stock, we can make special orders on your behalf.
Project 10 carries samples of different types of gender gear in various sizes and colours for you to explore and try on in a safe, private, and affirming space.
Feel free to visit us on Thursdays between 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for personalized assistance with gender gear items.
If you have any questions about gender gear or want to book an appointment to learn more, contact trans@p10.qc.ca.
What is a
Commissioner of Oaths?
To file for a legal name or gender marker change, application documents must be officiated by a person legally authorized to do so. A COO is authorized to administer oaths, affirmations, as well as declarations for legal purposes.
If you are in need of having documents officiated or have any questions regarding this process, please contact commissioner@p10.qc.ca.

Subsidy Services
Hair Removal
Project 10 offers subsidies for trans youth 18+ in the Greater Montreal area to access laser hair removal. We partner with clinics across Montreal to ensure our subsidy amount will go as far as possible in covering a full treatment cycle, depending on the area of the body being targeted.
Please note that there is currently a waiting list for the hair removal subsidy. Expected wait time will vary, and priority is given to individuals who have already started treatment but have been unable to finish. Funding to begin a new treatment is available until the age of 25 and will apply until the full treatment is completed. Should you turn 26 while on the waiting list, we will not be able to fulfill your request.
If laser hair removal isn’t suitable for your needs (e.g., non-pigmented hair or consistent growth), know that electrolysis services are also accepted within the purposes of the subsidy. For more information, see the following Trans Patient Union Guide for Hair Removal
If you would like to put yourself on the waitlist for the laser hair removal or electrolysis subsidy, click here.
Therapy
Project 10 offers subsidies for youth to access mental health professionals for diagnostic purposes. If you require a diagnosis to access different types of support or gender-affirming procedures, we can help. We partner with licensed professionals and can provide referrals as necessary.
If you would like to make a request to access the diagnostic therapy subsidy, please click here.
Expected wait time will vary. Funding is available until the age of 25.
